- To allow for produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, freshly prepared foods and arts and crafts.
- The market stalls measure 10’ x 10’, which includes area for storage, cash exchange and product display
The Market Pavilion: featuring vendors selling vegetables, fruits, herbs, cut flowers, spices, grains, nuts, plants, meats, eggs, baked good, honey, preserves – virtually everything that one wants to purchase from a market can be found under its roof;

Mission
The core mission of The African Village Cultural District is community-based economic development. The market will lower barriers for diverse entrepreneurs and create a launch pad for startup and early-stage businesses.
The African Village Cultural District will provide space for commercial kitchens and workforce training focused on building a stronger regional food system.
Finally, The African Village Cultural District will become a cherished community gathering space with art, music, events, classes, and a range of activities that bring the City and West Louisville together.
Vision
The African Village Cultural District will be a year-round, inclusive, and welcoming community destination featuring a diverse pool of entrepreneurs offering fresh produce from local/regional farmers, culturally diverse prepared food, locally-made food products, and handcrafted arts and crafts.
